(SAN DIEGO) July 20, 2009 — The Lofts at 707 10th Ave., designed by AVRP with KMA Architecture & Engineering as Executive Architect, recently received an award of merit for Outstanding High Rise Apartment for Rent during the 46th annual Gold Nugget Awards in San Francisco. Hosted by Pacific Coast Builders Conference, the awards ceremony recognizes innovative achievements in architectural design and land-use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

“The Design team is excited to achieve recognition by our peers through the Gold Nugget awards,” said Don Blair, president of KMA. “It is a wonderful accomplishment that KMA can share the honor with a remarkable diversity of nationally acclaimed designers and projects.”

The merit honorees and grand award winners were selected from more than 375 entries by industry professionals from across the country. In addition to The Lofts at 707, seven other San Diego County housing plans were also awarded merits, as well as two grand honors.

The award-winning project, developed by Oliver McMillan and built by DPR Construction Inc., is located in East Village and is the newest addition downtown.
