Collaboration + DiscussionCOLLABORATION + DISCUSSION
Designs are conceived, developed, and refined through a process of collaborative discussion and review that incorporates formal and informal input from a variety of people throughout the company and extensive interaction with clients and builders. Work in progress in pinned up on walls throughout the office for review and discussion and groups of people often gather informally to discuss and contribute ideas or responses to work in progress. People working on other project teams are often invited to contribute additional “uninformed” alternate ideas or schemes and frequent “work—in—progress” reviews are conducted with the client’s team in order to stimulate thinking and add to the mix of ideas. Ideas and design solutions are not handed down from on high, but develop naturally from within the team through a constantly growing understanding of architecture developed through collaborative discussion, critique, and multiple points of view.
