KMA Architecture & Engineering was founded in 1973 by William Krommenhoek. Originally named Krommenhoek and Associates, its patron client was San Diego Federal Savings and Loan. The firm went on to design over 250 branch banks for this client, though its named changes to Great Americal First Savings Bank and Great American Banks.

 

1978, Jack McKeown, an associate with the firm since it’s inception, became a partner and the firm was renamed Krommenhoek McKeown and Associates.

 

Today, with a team of more than 30 architects and engineers, the firm is known as KMA Architecture & Engineering. The firm’s managing partners are Don Blair, Timothy Rubesh, Joyce Peabody, Robb M. Walker and Neville Willsmore.
